The online CCP Management Training Course will provide managers with an overview of key concepts and suggestions for program planning as a complement to the CCP Program Guidance and ISP and RSP supplemental instructions.

On April 1, 2020, SAMHSA’s Disaster Technical Assistance Center hosted a webinar titled Crisis Counseling Assistance and Training Program (CCP): Delivering an Immediate Services Program (ISP) During a Social Distancing Event to provide guidance to states interested in implementing an ISP grant in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Just in Time Training provides staff with a brief overview of the CCP model and its services in special cases when in-person training is not yet available.

Prior to using the data collection forms, staff should complete the CCP Data Training. The training takes about 50 minutes. The training contains 4 modules:

  • Module 1 provides an overview of the Individual/Family Encounter Log and the Adult and Child/Youth Assessment and Referral Tool forms.
    This module is about 20 minutes.
  • Module 2 explains how to complete the Group Encounter Log to capture group counseling and public education sessions. .
    This module is about 10 minutes.
  • Module 3 explains how to complete the Weekly Tally Sheet to capture brief encounters, material distribution, and media efforts. .
    This module is about 10 minutes.
  • Module 4 provides an overview of the CCP data collection systems and reviews the data entry process. .
    This module is about 10 minutes.

Program management should also complete the ODCES Program Management training that reviews the administrative and reporting functions of the system. This training should take about 20 minutes to complete.
